Friday 9th October 2020 would have been John Lennon’s 80th birthday. Here is one of his songs that I performed recently during a live stream on Twitch TV.
The song was written in 1977 but remained unreleased until 1988 when a demo recording was included on the Imagine: John Lennon soundtrack album.
In 1995 the Beatles completed a piano demo of the song as part of the Beatles Anthology series. This was released as a single in 1996 reaching the Top 10 in most countries. It was the last “new” release of a Beatles song and one of only a few not to make it to No.1.
