“Golden Slumbers” is based on the poem “Cradle Song” from the play Patient Grissel, a lullaby by the dramatist Thomas Dekker.
Paul McCartney uses the first stanza of the original poem, changing just a few words to fit with his music. It was included as part of a medley on The Beatles Abbey Road album.
My version omits the other songs that were part of the medley. It was recorded during a live stream on Twitch, Tuesday, 13th October 2020.
